| What we do |
The Roald Dahl Museum is part of the County Museum, devoted entirely to Roald Dahl.
The museum has, within its many exhibits:
- the amazing video microscope
- A giant pipe organ
- Fantastic Mr Fox's tunnel
- Victorian schoolclothes under the watchful eye of Miss Trunchbull
- Bizarre inventions from the past with Mr Willy Wonka
- Matilda's Discovery Gallery
- The Great Glass Elevator up to the Imagination Gallery
- Magic Mirrors
- The Twits' upside-down room
The gallery uses Roald Dahl's stories to introduce visitors to museum objects. It has won two major awards for education, and is fully used by schools during term time. |

Bookings
Timed tickets for the Roald Dahl Children's Gallery are sold during peak times as the gallery only holds 85 people. Your visit will last an hour, and entry is on the hour. There are a limited number of tickets available, so entry cannot be guaranteed during busy times unless tickets are pre-booked. Please ring the Museum on (01296) 331441 to pre-book tickets and for school holiday opening dates. |
