| What we do |
The spectacular estate of Cliveden is a National Trust property.
The estate, overlooking the River Thames, has a series of gardens, each with its own character, featuring topiary, statuary, water gardens, a formal parterre, informal vistas, woodland and riverside walks. The present house, the third on the site, was built by Charles Barry for the Duke of Sutherland in 1851. Once the home of Nancy, Lady Astor, it is now let as an hotel and is open only on certain days.
There is a full programme, inc. concerts, open-air theatre, children’s theatre throughout the season |
