If you are homeless or threatened with homelessness we may be able to assist you.
The Council helps housing associations build new homes or buy existing homes on the open market for rent in return for nomination rights.
The Council can help first time buyers from South Bucks District purchase a home through Do It Yourself Home Ownership (DIYSO).
The District Council provides information on its web site on:
- Help for homeless
- Housing for rent
- Help for residents in rented social housing or people on the Council’s Housing Register to buy a home

Homelessness
If you are homeless or threatened with homelessness we may be able to assist you. If you are not vulnerable (e.g. elderly or disabled, or have children living with you or are pregnant) the assistance may be limited to offering advice. Beacon Housing Association investigates claims of homelessness on our behalf. We will make a decision based on Beacon’s report (see below) and any other information made available to us.
